Hanukkah Party DJ Los Angeles

Hebrew-English DJ & MC for Hanukkah Parties Across LA

Hebrew-English DJ & MC for Hanukkah Parties Across LA

Hanukkah brings out a different kind of celebration — the warmth of candlelight, the joy of Israeli and Hebrew music, and a room full of people from every generation. On Air Productions LA has spent years bringing that energy to corporate Hanukkah parties, synagogue and community celebrations, school events, and private family gatherings throughout Los Angeles.

DJ Gilad Emesh, Israeli and at home in both Hebrew and English, doesn't treat the menorah lighting as an afterthought between songs — he builds the evening's music and MC narration around it, so the candle-lighting moment lands with the weight it deserves before the room shifts into an upbeat Israeli, Hebrew, and American dance set. He brings that same cultural fluency to Purim parties, matching the holiday's celebratory, high-energy spirit for synagogues, schools, and private hosts.

From an office party in Encino to a synagogue celebration in Beverly Hills or a community event in Tarzana or Calabasas, we scale the production to the occasion — a DJ and Hebrew-English MC for an intimate gathering, or a full LED video wall and lighting setup for a larger corporate or community Hanukkah party.

Hanukkah 2026

Hanukkah 2026: Fri, Dec 4 – Sat, Dec 12

Hanukkah 2026 begins at sundown on Friday, Dec 4, 2026, when the first candle is lit, and the eighth candle is lit on the evening of Friday, Dec 11. The eighth and last day of the holiday is Saturday, Dec 12. Each of the eight evenings is a Hanukkah night, so a party can fall on any of them.

Candles are lit after sundown, so the party night for each date starts in the evening. If your guests will light their own menorahs at home first, a later start gives them time to arrive.

Ideas for adults & large groups

Hanukkah Party Ideas for Adults and Large Groups

The Hanukkah parties adults remember are built on three things: a candle lighting that feels like a real moment, a dance set of Israeli and Hebrew music that ends in a hora, and one or two games that get people talking. For a large group, add the sound, the lighting and a screen so the whole room can share each of those moments.

A candle lighting with a moment of its own

Invite a few guests to light, have the MC call each of them up, and let the music drop away for the blessings before the room comes back in with a song everyone knows.

A late-night hora

Hold the Israeli and Hebrew dance set for after dinner, when people are ready to move, and build it to a hora that pulls every table onto the floor.

Games for grown-ups

A dreidel tournament with a bracket and a final the MC calls from the stage, Hanukkah trivia between dance sets, or a latke tasting your caterer sets up with toppings.

Live music over the DJ

A saxophone through the cocktail hour, a darbuka joining the hora, or a live Israeli singer for a few songs turns a playlist into a performance.

Light and a keepsake

Blue and white uplighting changes a ballroom or an office in minutes, and a photo booth or a 360 booth with Hanukkah props gives guests something to take home.

Planning for a big room

One large menorah on a stage, the lighting shown on an LED screen, a wireless microphone for whoever says the blessings, and a dance floor wide enough for a hora circle.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you DJ Hanukkah parties, or only weddings and b'nai mitzvah?

Hanukkah parties are a core part of what we do every winter. We perform at corporate Hanukkah parties, synagogue and community celebrations, school events, and private family gatherings across Los Angeles, bringing the same DJ, Hebrew-English MC, and production quality we bring to Israeli and Jewish weddings — scaled to whatever kind of Hanukkah event you're hosting.

Can you build the music and MC moment around the menorah lighting?

Yes — the candle-lighting moment deserves its own build, not a random song fade-out. We time the music and MC narration in Hebrew and English around the menorah lighting so it lands as the meaningful centerpiece of the evening, then transition the room straight into an upbeat Israeli and Hebrew music set.

What kind of music do you play at a Hanukkah party?

We build a set around Israeli and Hebrew favorites, modern Israeli pop, and classic holiday songs, blended with American music so the whole room — from grandparents to kids to coworkers — has something to dance to. For corporate Hanukkah parties we can keep the tone more polished; for community and family events we lean into the Israeli party energy.

Do you also DJ Purim parties?

We do. Purim calls for high-energy, celebratory music and an MC who can read the room's costume-party spirit, and we bring the same Israeli and Hebrew music expertise and MC service in Hebrew and English to Purim events as we do for Hanukkah — for synagogues, schools, and private hosts across LA.

Can you provide LED screens and lighting for a corporate or synagogue Hanukkah party?

Yes. For corporate Hanukkah parties and larger synagogue or community celebrations, we offer LED video walls, uplighting, and a full AV setup alongside the DJ and MC — everything needed to turn a banquet hall or office space into a proper event for the night.

How far in advance should we book a Hanukkah party DJ in Los Angeles?

Hanukkah is one of our busiest weeks of the year, with corporate, synagogue, and private parties often falling on the same handful of nights. We recommend booking 2–3 months ahead of the holiday to guarantee your date, especially if you want a Hebrew-English MC or added production like LED screens.

When is Hanukkah 2026?

Hanukkah 2026 starts at sundown on Friday, Dec 4, 2026, with the first candle, and the eighth candle is lit on Friday, Dec 11; the eighth and last day is Saturday, Dec 12 (Hebcal's Jewish calendar). A Hanukkah party can be held on any of the eight evenings.

What are good Hanukkah party ideas for adults?

Plan the night around a candle lighting with a moment of its own, an Israeli and Hebrew dance set that ends in a hora, and a game such as a dreidel tournament or Hanukkah trivia. Live music over the DJ, blue and white lighting and a photo booth with Hanukkah props make it feel like a party rather than a dinner.

How do you plan a Hanukkah party for a large group?

Give a large group one shared candle lighting it can see and hear: a big menorah on a stage, a wireless microphone for the blessings and, in a large room, the moment shown on an LED screen. Then plan a dance floor wide enough for a hora, sound sized to the room and a simple run of show, so the night moves from the candles to dinner to dancing.
