AV Rentals in Los Angeles & Las Vegas

LED walls, sound and lighting, delivered and run by one team

Rent the screens, the sound and the light — and the people who run them. On Air Productions LA supplies LED walls and LED screens, sound systems and PA, and event lighting from uplighting to moving heads for weddings, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs and corporate events across Los Angeles and Las Vegas, planned with your DJ, live music and stage on one timeline.

Planning Guide

AV Rules of Thumb

LED wall sharpness

The closest comfortable viewing distance in metres is roughly the pixel pitch in millimetres — a 3 mm wall looks smooth from about 3 metres (10 feet). Guests close to the screen need a finer pitch.

Indoor vs outdoor LED

Outdoor LED panels are several times brighter than indoor panels so they stay readable in daylight; indoors the wall is dimmed so it never glares on camera or in photos.

Screen shape

A 16:9 screen suits slides, video and live camera feeds; a wide LED backdrop suits a stage, a sweetheart table or a DJ set.

Uplighting spacing

An uplight every 6 to 10 feet of wall gives an even wash; columns, corners and focal points get their own fixture.

Sound zones

Every space guests use — ceremony, cocktails, dinner, dancing — gets its own coverage, so equipment never moves in front of guests.

Microphones

Plan one wireless handheld for the toasts, a lavalier for every hands-free speaker (officiant, rabbi, presenter) and always a spare.

Words in an AV Quote

AV Glossary

Pixel pitch
The distance between the LEDs on a screen, in millimetres. Smaller pitch = sharper image up close.
Nits
A measure of screen brightness. Outdoor LED walls need far more nits than indoor walls.
Video processor
The device that feeds and scales video to an LED wall so content fits the screen perfectly.
IMAG
Image magnification: a live camera feed on the big screen so the back of the room sees every speech.
Ground-stacked vs flown
Equipment standing on the floor versus hung from truss or rigging points.
Truss
Aluminum framework that holds lights, screens and speakers above the floor.
Moving head
A motorized light that pans, tilts and changes color and pattern — beam, spot or wash — for stages and dance floors.
Wash vs spot vs beam
A wash floods an area with color, a spot projects a defined shape, a beam is a tight shaft of light through haze.
Uplighting
Fixtures on the floor aimed up the walls to color the whole room; wireless uplights have no cables.
Pin spot
A narrow light aimed at one object — a centerpiece, the cake, a ketubah.
Gobo / monogram
A pattern or a custom design (initials, a name, a logo) projected by a light onto a wall or the dance floor.
DMX
The control signal that lets one console run every light in sync with the music and the program.
Line array
A column of speakers that throws even sound over long distances — for large rooms and outdoor crowds.
Subwoofer
A speaker for the low end you feel on the dance floor.
Lavalier
A small clip-on microphone for hands-free speaking.
Haze
A fine, light mist that makes light beams visible; venues set the rules for it.
Cold sparks
A spark-fountain effect that is cool to the touch, used for entrances and first dances where venues allow it.
VJ
A video jockey who mixes visuals on the LED wall live to the DJ's music.

Common Questions

AV Rentals — FAQ

What AV equipment can I rent from On Air Productions LA?

LED walls and LED screens, sound systems and PA with wireless microphones, event lighting — uplighting, moving heads, pin spots, monogram gobos, dance-floor and stage lighting — plus staging, truss, projection, live camera feeds and livestream support. Everything is delivered, set up and run by our crew.

Do you provide AV rentals in both Los Angeles and Las Vegas?

Yes. We are based in Los Angeles and cover Southern California, and we travel to Las Vegas, Henderson and Summerlin with our own equipment and crew; travel is included in one clear quote.

Is a technician included with AV rentals?

Yes. Our crew delivers and sets up the equipment, an operator or engineer runs it during the event, and we tear it down afterward — you never operate the gear yourself.

Can I book AV together with a DJ and live music?

Yes — that is what most clients do. One production team plans the DJ and MC, sound, LED walls, lighting, staging and live musicians on one timeline, with one point of contact.

Which events do you provide AV for?

Weddings and Jewish and Israeli weddings, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, corporate meetings, conferences and product launches, galas and fundraisers, quinceañeras and sweet 16s, and private parties.

How much do AV rentals cost?

Every quote is built from your event: the room and guest count, the equipment, indoor or outdoor, the hours and the crew needed. Contact us for a personalized quote.
