Sound System Rental Los Angeles

PA, speakers, wireless mics and a sound engineer, run for you

Event Sound · Los Angeles

Sound that reaches the back row — and never drowns the table conversation

Most event problems people remember are sound problems: a toast nobody could hear, a ceremony mic that cut out during the vows, a dance floor that felt thin, or a ballroom so loud the older guests left early. Sound system rental in Los Angeles is not about the biggest speakers — it is about the right PA system for your room, placed and tuned by someone who stays with it all night.

On Air Productions LA provides complete event sound across Los Angeles and Southern California: PA systems and powered speakers, subwoofers for the dance floor, wireless handheld and lavalier microphones, a mixing console and a sound engineer who runs it from the first guest to the last song. It is the same crew that runs our DJs, LED walls and lighting, so the audio, the screens and the music move together on one timeline.

Whether you need a ceremony sound system in a backyard in Encino, a full PA for a Bar Mitzvah in a Beverly Hills ballroom, or conference audio with podium mics and a recording feed in Downtown LA, we size the system to the room and the guest count — not one rig for every event.

What We Provide

Every piece of the sound system, sized to your room

PA System & Speaker Rental

The PA system is the heart of any event: powered speakers on stands for an intimate dinner, a larger system for a 300-guest ballroom, or a line array for a big outdoor audience. We pick the speakers for the room's size, ceiling and shape, then place them so the sound covers every table evenly instead of blasting the first row.

  • Powered speakers for 50 to several hundred guests
  • Line array options for large rooms and outdoor events
  • Delay speakers for long rooms and tents
  • Clean, discreet placement that stays out of photos

Subwoofers & Dance Floor Sound

A dance floor needs low end you feel, not just hear. We add subwoofers sized to the dance floor and aim the system so the energy stays on the floor while the dinner tables can still talk — the balance that makes a wedding or Bar Mitzvah party feel full without being punishing.

  • Subwoofers matched to the dance floor
  • Separate zones for dancing and dining
  • Volume planned with the venue's limits

Wireless Microphone Rental

Speeches, vows, blessings, the hora announcement, a keynote — every one depends on the microphone. We supply wireless handheld microphones for toasts, lavalier (lapel) mics for the officiant and presenters, podium mics for speakers, and spare frequencies and batteries so nothing drops at the wrong moment.

  • Wireless handheld mics for toasts and speeches
  • Lavalier mics for officiants, rabbis and presenters
  • Podium and gooseneck mics for conferences
  • Backup frequencies and fresh batteries on site

Ceremony Sound System

A wedding ceremony often happens in a different spot from the reception — a garden, a terrace, under the chuppah. A separate ceremony sound system lets every guest hear the vows and the music for the walk down the aisle, then moves or stays put while the reception system takes over.

  • Officiant and couple mics
  • Processional and recessional music
  • Battery-powered options where power is limited

Sound Engineer & Mixing

Rented speakers dropped off at the door are only half the job. A sound engineer stays at the mixing console the whole event, sets the levels for every speech, rides the music through dinner and dancing, and catches feedback before guests hear it. For live bands and singers we add monitor mixes so the performers hear themselves.

  • Digital mixing console
  • Live mixing for speeches, bands and singers
  • Monitor mixes for performers
  • Recording feed for the videographer

Conference & Corporate Event Audio

Corporate events need clarity above everything: every presenter heard, every video played on cue, every remote viewer getting clean audio. We handle podium and lapel mics, playback for walk-ins and award stings, audio for livestreams and recordings, and the show-calling that keeps a general session on time.

  • Presenter mics and playback
  • Audio for livestream and recording
  • Breakout-room sound systems

For Every Kind of Event

Sound system rental for weddings, Bar Mitzvahs and corporate events

Wedding sound system rental

Ceremony sound under the chuppah or in the garden, mics for the officiant and the toasts, cocktail-hour music in a second space, and a reception system that fills the dance floor — all run by one engineer, cued with your DJ and planner.

Bar & Bat Mitzvah sound

Clear mics for the blessings, the candle-lighting and the speeches, game audio the MC can run instantly, and a dance-floor system the kids feel — balanced so the adults' tables can still talk.

Corporate events & conferences

Presenter and panel mics, playback, audio for the livestream, and a technician on the console for the whole agenda — from general sessions to breakout rooms and the evening reception.

Galas & fundraisers

Walk-in music, presenter mics, auction audio and the after-party, run from one show call so the program stays on time and every word reaches the back of the room.

Backyard & outdoor parties

Weather-aware speaker placement for gardens, estates, rooftops and tents, sound that carries for your guests without spilling over the neighbours, and power planned in advance.

Live bands, singers & performers

A PA and monitor system for a live band or singer, a sound engineer who mixes the performance, and a smooth handover between the band and the DJ.

Planning Guide

How to choose the right sound system

Count the guests — and measure the room

Guest count tells us how much sound you need; the room's size, ceiling height and walls tell us where to put it. A 120-guest dinner in a glass-walled restaurant needs a very different system from 400 guests in a hotel ballroom.

Plan the zones

Ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing often happen in different spaces. Each zone can get its own speakers so you never move equipment in front of guests.

List every microphone moment

Write down who speaks and when: the officiant, the toasts, a rabbi's blessing, the keynote, a panel. That decides how many wireless and lavalier mics you need, plus spares.

Indoor or outdoor

Outdoors there are no walls to carry sound, so speakers are placed and aimed differently, and power and weather are planned in advance. Some neighbourhoods and venues have sound limits — we plan around them.

Ask who runs it

A drop-off rental leaves you adjusting levels mid-toast. With a sound engineer on site, someone is always at the console.

Book early for peak dates

Spring and fall Saturdays in Los Angeles book up early. Lock the date first; we can refine the system as your plans settle.

Common Questions

Sound System Rental Los Angeles — FAQ

Do you offer sound system rental with a technician in Los Angeles?

Yes. Every On Air sound system rental in Los Angeles comes with our crew: we deliver, set up and sound-check the system, and a sound engineer stays on the console for the whole event, then we tear it down. You never adjust levels yourself mid-toast.

How many speakers do I need for 100, 200 or 300 guests?

It depends on the room as much as the guest count. A 100-guest dinner can be covered by a pair of powered speakers on stands; 200 to 300 guests with dancing usually needs larger speakers plus subwoofers, and long rooms or tents add delay speakers. We size it from your floor plan so every table hears evenly.

Do I need a separate sound system for the wedding ceremony?

If the ceremony is in a different spot from the reception — a garden, a terrace, under the chuppah — yes, a small separate ceremony system with a lavalier mic for the officiant is the cleanest way. If everything happens in one room, the reception system can cover the ceremony too.

What wireless microphones are included?

We plan the microphones from your program: wireless handheld mics for toasts and speeches, lavalier (lapel) mics for the officiant, rabbi or presenters, and podium mics for conferences — always with spare frequencies and fresh batteries on site.

Can you provide sound for a live band or singer?

Yes. We supply the PA, monitor speakers and a sound engineer to mix the performance, and we plan the handover between the band and the DJ so the music never stops.

Do you rent PA systems for outdoor events?

Yes. For backyards, estates, rooftops and tents we choose weather-aware equipment, aim the speakers so the sound reaches your guests without spilling over the neighbours, and plan power ahead — including battery options where there is none.

How much does a sound system rental cost in Los Angeles?

Every quote is built from your event: guest count, room size, how many zones (ceremony, cocktails, dinner, dancing), how many microphones, indoor or outdoor, and how many hours. Contact us for a personalized quote — we reply quickly with a clear proposal.

Can I rent sound together with a DJ, LED wall and lighting?

Yes — that is how most clients book us. On Air Productions LA is one production team for DJ, sound, LED walls, lighting and staging, so everything is planned on one timeline with one point of contact.

Do you cover the San Fernando Valley, Orange County and Ventura County?

Yes. We provide event sound across Los Angeles — from Santa Monica and Beverly Hills to Pasadena and the Valley — and throughout Orange County, Ventura County and Southern California, and we travel to Las Vegas.

“Honestly couldn't have asked for a better DJ experience. We booked On Air Productions LA for our wedding and DJ Gilad Emesh absolutely crushed it. From the first song to the last, the energy was exactly what we wanted. He really knows how to read the crowd and keep people dancing nonstop. Super easy to work with, very professional and such a great vibe overall. If you're thinking about booking them, just do it. You won't regret it.”

“My son's Bar Mitzvah was the talk of the school for weeks. The DJ knew exactly which songs to play for a room of 13-year-olds and kept them dancing for four straight hours. The foam cannon at the end was the highlight of the entire night. Incredible!”

“On Air Productions played at our Persian wedding and they were absolutely perfect. They understood the flow of a Persian wedding completely — the classical music during dinner, the mix of Persian and Western pop, the energy building throughout the night. Our families were blown away.”
