Event Lighting Rental Las Vegas

Uplighting, moving heads and dance-floor light in Vegas

Event Lighting · Las Vegas

Light that changes how the room feels — not just how bright it is

Many Las Vegas ballrooms are built to be neutral: pale walls, even house light, a space that can host a sales meeting in the morning and a wedding the same night. Lighting is what turns that blank room into your event — color on the walls, a glow on every centerpiece, your monogram across the dance floor and a stage that looks like a show.

On Air Productions LA provides event lighting throughout the Las Vegas Valley — the Strip, Henderson, Summerlin and beyond: wireless battery-powered LED uplighting, pin spots, gobo and monogram projection, moving head lights, stage lighting on truss, and haze or cold sparks wherever the venue approves them. We come from Los Angeles with our own fixtures and crew, and the travel is covered inside one clear quote.

The lighting is designed together with the rest of the production — the DJ, the sound, the LED walls — so each color change lands on the entrance, the first dance or the keynote walk-up. We work out power, rigging and load-in early with the venue and its in-house AV team, so the design everyone approved is the design that goes up.

What We Provide

Every kind of event lighting, designed as one look

Uplighting Rental

Uplights sit at the base of walls, columns and drapes and wash them in color. Ours are wireless and battery-powered, so no cables cross the floor and they can go anywhere — behind the head table, along a glass wall, around a pool. The colors are matched to your palette and can move from a soft dinner tone to something bolder once the dancing starts.

  • Wireless, battery-powered LED uplights
  • No cables across walkways
  • Colors matched to your palette
  • Looks that shift from dinner to dancing

Pin Spot Lighting for Centerpieces

A pin spot is a narrow beam aimed at a single table, so the flowers and the centerpiece glow while the room around them stays dim. It is the detail that makes a dinner look intentional in photographs — and it works beautifully on a cake, a display table or the ketubah signing.

  • Narrow beams on centerpieces and cakes
  • Highlights for signing and display tables
  • Placed from your table layout

Monogram Gobo & Custom Projection

A gobo is a stencil set in front of a light to project a shape. A custom monogram gobo puts your initials, a name or a logo onto the dance floor, a wall or the drape behind the stage — for a wedding, a Bar or Bat Mitzvah or a corporate gala. Softer patterns and textures can also be spread across an entire wall.

  • Custom monograms, names and logos
  • Projected onto floors, walls or drapes
  • Pattern and texture washes for whole walls

Moving Head Light Rental

Moving head lights are motorized stage fixtures that pan, tilt and change color and beam shape on command — the lighting that makes a dance floor feel like a club and a stage feel like a concert. Programmed to the music and the run of show, they sweep the room for the grand entrance, close in on the couple for the first dance and build the energy as the night goes on.

  • Moving head lights that pan, tilt and change color
  • Programmed to the music and the run of show
  • Beam and wash looks for dance floors and stages
  • Mounted on truss or set on the floor

Dance Floor Lighting & LED Dance Floors

The dance floor deserves a design of its own: wash lights and moving heads overhead, color that follows the DJ's set, and — if you want the floor itself to glow — an LED dance floor under the guests. Haze, used only where the venue allows it, makes the beams visible in the air.

  • Wash and beam lighting over the floor
  • LED dance floor options
  • Color cued with the DJ's set
  • Haze only with the venue's approval

Stage & Truss Lighting for Corporate Events

At a general session, an awards show or a product launch, stage lighting has two tasks: make every presenter look natural in person and on camera, and give the room a sense of occasion between speakers. We light the stage from truss, add color and texture to the set, and build looks for walk-ups, reveals and the closing moment.

  • Front light for presenters and cameras
  • Truss lighting built to the stage
  • Looks cued for walk-ups, awards and reveals

Cold Sparks & Haze

Cold sparks — tall fountains of sparkle on either side of the couple or the stage — mark a grand entrance, a first dance or a big reveal. Every venue sets its own rules for haze and effects, so we bring them up with the venue's event and AV teams while planning and use only what has been approved.

  • Cold sparks for entrances and first dances
  • Haze where the venue permits it
  • Every effect cleared with the venue in advance

For Every Kind of Event

Event lighting for Las Vegas weddings, mitzvahs, galas and corporate events

Weddings & receptions

Soft uplighting for the ceremony, pin spots on the centerpieces, your monogram on the dance floor and moving head lights that lift the room the moment the hora begins — one design from the aisle to the last song.

Bar & Bat Mitzvahs

Color in the honoree's palette, their name projected on the floor, a warmly lit candle-lighting, and party lighting with real energy for the dance sets the kids wait for all night.

Corporate events & conventions

Clean stage light for presenters and cameras, brand colors on the walls, and convention-week receptions and dinners designed around the resort's load-in schedule.

Galas & fundraisers

A room that feels transformed the moment guests walk in: color washes, lit drapes, pin spots, a lit stage for the program and a different look for the after-party.

Sweet 16s, quinceañeras & private parties

Club-style dance-floor lighting, a custom name projection, cold sparks for the entrance where the venue allows them, and colors chosen with the guest of honor.

Outdoor & poolside events

Wireless uplights on palms, walls and cabanas, lighting that takes over as the desert sun goes down, and power and placement agreed with the venue ahead of time.

Planning Guide

How to plan lighting for a Las Vegas event

Count the walls, not just the guests

An uplighting plan follows the architecture — wall length, columns, drapes, a bar, a stage — and how saturated you want the color. Every fixture is placed on a plan of your room before quoting.

Choose a palette early

Bring your florals, linens or brand colors and we match the light to them. Warm, soft tones flatter skin in photos while saturated colors suit the dancing, so we often plan both and switch between them.

Decide what should stand out

Lighting directs the eye: centerpieces under pin spots, the chuppah or the stage in a brighter wash, the dance floor in motion. Picking two or three focal points keeps the design clear.

Plan the moments

List the moments that deserve a change of light — the entrance, the first dance, the hora, the candle-lighting, the keynote walk-up. Each one gets its own cue, timed with the DJ and the run of show.

Ask the venue about haze and effects

Haze and cold sparks depend on the venue's rules, and many resorts have an in-house AV team with requirements of its own. We take every effect and the power plan to them early.

Lock the date before the convention calendar fills it

When a major convention arrives, hotel ballrooms and freight docks are claimed quickly. With the date secured early, load-in stays easy and the design can keep evolving as your plans develop.

Common Questions

Event Lighting Rental Las Vegas — FAQ

How many uplights do I need for my event?

It depends more on the walls, columns and drapes you want colored than on the guest count. A small room might take around a dozen uplights; a large ballroom or a tent can need several times that for an even wash. We work out the number on your floor plan.

Wireless or wired uplighting — which is better?

We use wireless, battery-powered uplights: no cables across walkways, no hunting for outlets, and they can sit where a cord never could, like beside a pool or along a glass wall. They are also quicker to place and remove, which matters when a resort gives a tight load-in window.

What is a monogram gobo?

A gobo is a small stencil fitted to a light to project a shape. A monogram gobo projects your initials, names, a date or a logo onto the dance floor, a wall or a drape — a personal touch that also photographs well.

Uplighting, pin spots or dance-floor lighting — what is the difference?

Uplighting colors the walls and sets the mood of the whole room. Pin spots are narrow beams that make each centerpiece glow. Dance-floor lighting — wash lights and moving heads — adds motion and energy once the party starts. Most weddings and mitzvahs use all three at different moments.

What are moving head lights, and how do they compare with wash lights?

Moving head lights are motorized stage lighting fixtures that pan, tilt and change color, beam and pattern on cue — the sweeping beams you see at concerts. Wash lights spread a soft, even color over a stage or dance floor. Wash lights set the color; moving heads add the movement.

Can you use haze, fog or cold sparks at a Las Vegas venue?

Only where the venue approves. Every resort and venue sets its own rules on haze, fog and effects such as cold sparks, and many have in-house AV teams with their own requirements. We raise each effect with them during planning and use only what is cleared.

Will the lighting look good in photos and video?

That is part of the design. We keep faces in flattering, even light for the speeches and the first dance, avoid strong colored light on skin at key moments, and coordinate with your photographer and videographer so their cameras and our lighting work together.

Can you match the lighting to our wedding colors or brand?

Yes. Send us your florals, linens or brand guide and we match the uplighting, washes and gobo to them, then check the colors in the room before guests arrive.

Should I get an LED dance floor or dance-floor lighting?

Dance-floor lighting works from above and suits any floor. An LED dance floor lights up beneath the guests' feet and becomes a feature in itself — especially at a Bar or Bat Mitzvah or a sweet 16. Many clients pair the two.

How much does event lighting rental cost in Las Vegas?

The quote is shaped by the size of the room, the number of uplights and pin spots, custom gobos, moving heads and stage lighting on truss, any approved effects, how early the venue lets us load in, and how long the event runs. The trip from Los Angeles is already included in what we quote. Contact us for a personalized quote.

Do you travel from Los Angeles for event lighting in Las Vegas?

Yes. Los Angeles is home base, and our crew travels to the Strip, Henderson, Summerlin and the surrounding valley with its own fixtures for each event. We plan together by phone and video, then send one written run of show to you, your planner and the venue.
